Each year school studens compete in a public speaking competion. The theme is the Rotary 4 Way Test. Heats are held within the club and through a semi-final series leading to a final held at the annual District Conference in October. The 2009 final was at the Cooma Conference. The South Nowra finalist was a credible runner-up.

A fun activity at a club meeting saw many budding cooks making scones. They even tasted nice with fresh cream and jam.

A program of the Rotary Foundation , enabling vocational exchange teams to visit . In 2009 a team from D5490 Arizona USA visited D9710. South Nowra hosted the team for 4 days and they saw many aspects of the Shoalhaven.
