The Manure Project

As part of ongoing fundraising, and in an effort to help all Rotarians remain fit and healthy, Nowra has The Manure Project - or to give it its more common name, moo poo!  Each weekend, the fellows gather and shovel "heifer dust" into bags ready for selling on the side of Jindy Andy Lane.  The shovelling lasts a few hours, the aches a few days and the memories a few weeks...

In true country spirit, the local farmers have supported us in this project by donating used feed bags, and it wouldn't be a country project if bailing twine wasn't used to tie up the bags.

So far the manure project has raised over $5000 for the Nowra Club, which in turn enables us to support Rotary projects such as Shelter Box, the Rotary Foundation and the End Polio Now project.

We also support local groups such as the Nowra Town Band, the Eistedffod, and Nowra High School to name just a few.

All ages take part from the oldest Rotarian at 80+ to the youngest Rotarian in training, aged 7!
